Aye Write! Glasgow’s Book Festival returns to the Mitchell Library for its eighth year from 12-20 April 2013.
Bringing a stellar line-up of authors to the city, Aye Write! one of the largest literary festivals in the U.K., remains committed to celebrating Scottish authors with appearances from Louise Welsh, William Mcllvanney and Edinburgh Makar Ron Butlin appearing alongside national and international authors for a celebration of books and poetry.
As well as a packed programme of leading authors, this top notch cultural event offers family events, panel debates and a range of reading and creative writing workshops.
Tickets have been selling faster than ever before but there is still plenty to enjoy at The Mitchell Library. So, if you want to find out what Ernest Hemingway meant when he said, ‘There’s nothing to writing. All you have to do is sit down at the typewriter and bleed’ then you won’t want to miss this fantastic event that has well and truly put Glasgow in the centre of the literary map.
